Claimed… Billionaire Alex Matthews’s sights are set on penniless ‘ice’ Princess Serina of Montevel. His job is to keep her brother under surveillance, but it’s Serina who has caught Alex’s eye! Taken! Whisked to his secluded tropical retreat, Serina finds her outer shell of royal decorum crumbling at the power of Alex’s presence. Before the impoverished princess realises, she’s drowning in Alex’s glacial blue eyes and…waking up in his king-sized bed! Deceived? She thinks Alex is her Prince Charming, but has he led her astray under false pretences…?

Rating"Although this is set mostly in Northland, New Zealand there is the usual connection with the mythical Mediterranean kingdoms which the author has created.
Although the leads are likeable I found that there wasn't the same passion or spark to this which Mrs Donald normally evokes - the heroine in particular was rather colourless.
While it was on the whole enjoyable I did find some of the plot a bit far-fetched.
6.5 out of 10.

Rating"I have to admit that I found this quite boring, I really struggled to read to the end, it was very easy to get distracted from a a story and characters that don't really grab you and pull you in to their world. The heroine also was very dull and I didn't really like her character at all."
Not my cup of tea

Rating"I am afraid this didn't work for me at all.
The only good thing about it seemed to be the advertisement for visitors to New Zealand.
I just never connected to the characters. The closest connection was irritation at the hero who just after kissing the heroine compares her to a courtesan because she responded to him. I switched off after that.
Sorry. Not my cup of tea."
