Far From the Madding Crowd, by Thomas Hardy – I read it at school and many times since, it is so beautifully written.
The Italian’s Love-Child, by Sharon Kendrick – it was published in 2003 and I love it because Luca and Eve are so real, their personalities leap off the page.
All M & B modern romances – I’ve been reading them for thirty years and never been disappointed. I loved Charlotte Lamb’s books, and some of my other favorite authors are; Robyn Donald, Helen Bianchin, Penny Jordan, plus so many others who deliver the emotional intensity I love.
